Built on Real Questions, Not Marketing Talk

Back in late 2022, we noticed something. People kept asking the same basic questions about reading balance sheets and understanding cash flow—but most resources either assumed too much knowledge or dumbed things down to the point of being useless. So we started creating content that actually answered those questions.

Started Small, Still Pretty Small

Honestly, we didn't plan to become an education platform. We were just sharing notes and breakdowns of financial statements with friends who worked in non-finance roles but needed to understand the numbers their companies were reporting.

What surprised us was how many people resonated with that approach—explaining things without jargon, using actual company examples instead of theoretical cases, and admitting when something was genuinely complex rather than pretending it was simple.

By mid-2023, we had enough requests to start structuring this into proper learning modules. We're based in Buôn Ma Thuột, which means we're working with a mix of local entrepreneurs, remote workers, and business owners who need practical financial knowledge.

How We Actually Teach This Stuff

Financial analysis sounds intimidating. And sometimes it is. But most of the time, it's just about knowing which numbers to look at and what they tell you about a business.

Real Company Examples

We pull actual financial statements from companies operating in Southeast Asian markets. You learn by analyzing real data, not made-up scenarios that don't reflect how businesses actually report their numbers.

Self-Paced Structure

Our programs typically run 6-9 months because that's how long it takes to actually internalize this material. You work through modules on your schedule, with new content released every two weeks to give you time to practice.

Practice Over Theory

Each module includes exercises where you analyze specific line items, calculate ratios, and interpret trends. We care more about whether you can actually do the analysis than whether you can define terms.

Who's Behind This

Small team. No flashy credentials. Just people who've spent years working with financial data and figured out how to explain it to others.

Clear Over Clever

We'd rather be accused of oversimplifying than have someone leave confused. Financial analysis has enough genuine complexity without adding unnecessary jargon.

Practical First

If you can't apply it to an actual financial statement, we probably won't spend time on it. Theory has its place, but we focus on skills you'll actually use.

Honest Limitations

Financial analysis won't tell you everything about a company. We teach you what the numbers can and can't reveal, which is just as important as the formulas.

Real Questions Welcome

We built this around the questions people actually ask. If something's unclear or you need more examples, that's feedback we use to improve the content.

Three Years of Iteration

We've changed our approach several times based on what actually worked for students.

2022

Started Sharing Notes

Began posting financial statement breakdowns on a shared document for friends in non-finance roles. No formal structure, just answering questions as they came up.

Built First Module

Created our first structured learning module on reading income statements. Tested it with a small group of 15 people to see what worked and what didn't.

Expanded Content

Added modules on balance sheets, cash flow analysis, and financial ratios. Realized we needed more practice exercises and fewer lecture-style explanations.

Refining Approach

Currently reworking older modules based on student feedback. Adding more real company case studies and focusing on practical application over theoretical knowledge.

See If This Fits What You Need

We're launching the next cohort in autumn 2025. If you want to understand financial statements without drowning in textbook theory, this might be worth checking out.
